Electric cars are increasing in popularity, and many luxury auto dealers are making their own models. These environmentally conscious vehicles are not only safer for the planet, but they are also safe for drivers because of modern features like autopilot. Electric cars are the way of the future, and also the future for luxury car retailers, as evidenced in the following models.

Model 3

1. Tesla Model 3

Teslas are a well-known luxury car, but one of the more notable creations from this company is the Model 3. Tesla’s website states that the Model 3 went through a crash test where the glass roof withstood over ten thousand pounds. It can go from 0mph to 60mph in 3.2 seconds and can go up to 162mph. Plus it has autopilot, which lets the car drive itself and park with the press of a button. This electric beauty will get a full battery if charged overnight and it can be refueled at one of the fourteen thousand (and counting) superchargers in the world. Electric cars don’t need too much time to recharge and on a full battery, they get great mileage.

3. 2019 BMW i8

This BMW comes in six different colors including Donington Gray and E-Copper. Its horsepower is 369 and it goes to sixty miles in 4.2 seconds. This limited edition model scored a 4.7/5 fromCars.com for the beautiful inside and exterior design, acceleration, and performance compared to competitors. The 2019 BMW i8 has swing-wing doors that open upward as opposed to typical doors that open to the side. This car is as functional as it is lovely, which is also true for our fourth pick.

4. Jaguar I-PACE

A single charge can give you up to 234 miles, and the I-PACE goes to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. Each model has five seats and you can choose what they look like. Jaguar allows buyers to build a custom car on their website. With this feature, you can pick the seat color and material, steering wheels, headlights, and driver’s assistance features. The driver’s assistance includes features like emergency braking, rear camera, and cruise control. The Jaguar I-PACE has won many awards, such as the European Car of the Year in 2019, Popular Science's Best of What’s New Award, and the gold IDA Designs Award.

With custom designs, the plethora of safety features, and no need for gas, it should come as no surprise that more and more e-cars are becoming available for purchase. Of course, few are as luxurious as our top four, but all electric cars help reduce air pollution.
